We recommend that you bring the following items for camping, but use
your judgement:
Major Camping Items:
- Lantern (propane only) or some battery operated light source

- Old bedsheets to line inside of sleeping bags keeps you from having to clean
sleeping bags after sweaty boys have slept in them
- Extra blankets if you think you will be cold
- Air Mattress or cots if you like those
- A foam pad or something to put under sleeping bag
- Food for Friday night, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast and snacks
(you might arrange to cook some meals together with your Den). Check to make sure if
the Pack is going to have a meal together at the campout and tailor your menu
accordingly. If you are asked to bring a dish for this meal, add that to your list.

What NOT to bring
- Open-toed shoes (like flip-flops) unless using them around the shower area
- Portable electronic devices
- Items that require liquid fuel (like Coleman fuel or kerosene burning stoves and
lanterns)
There are plenty of people in the pack that have items you can borrow.
Tent rentals may be available at Adventure Outfitters in the First Colony
Mall. They may have other items you can rent as well. Call first. REI has
equipment rentals but it is a bit of a drive to pick up and return your rented items.
